Dear Colleagues,

After a successful Kick-off conference in September, it is with pleasure that the Accessible ClimateConscious Essential Services (A.C.C.E.S.) project partners, SGI Europe, BDEW, UFE and USH, invite you to participate in the first sectoral workshop dedicated to the housing sector.

The workshop will be in hybrid format, taking place on Thursday, 28 November 2024, from 12.00 to 17.30 at the offices of USH, 14 Rue Lord Byron, 75008 in Paris, France. The working language will be English and no interpretation will be provided.

Objective of the Workshop One of the main objectives of the A.C.C.E.S. project is to define indicators for monitoring and evaluating the progress of access to essential services, taking into consideration the needs of the providers. Together with experts, policymakers, and stakeholders, this workshop will explore ways to define and measure the accessibility, affordability, and quality of these services while responding to the evolving challenges posed by climate change.

During the workshop, we will explore the collection of data on housing across Europe and discuss what aspects and characteristics should be considered when developing future indicators, particularly in the context of climate change and its impacts. More details and information can be found in the draft agenda attached. Your insight and experience will help shape the standards and tools guiding the future policies of the housing sector, ensuring this service will remain sustainable in an increasingly demanding environment.

Registration procedure Complete the online registration by Friday 22 November 2024, and your details will be automatically added in the participants list. The link to register is available here. Once you have registered online, you will receive an official confirmation of participation by email by SGI Europe representatives.

Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered (read carefully the travel and accommodation policy attached as there are new rules for reimbursement). Please refrain from organizing your travel and accommodation arrangements before receiving the final confirmation, as registration does not mean confirmation.

If you have any practical questions or experience difficulties, do not hesitate to contact Ms. Cecilia Martin (cecilia.martin@sgieurope.org) or Ms. Astrid Nordberg (astrid.nordberg@sgieurope.org) by email. We thank you for your kind consideration and look forward to welcoming you in Paris.
